I just recently learned of Rob's passing after a visit to Oil City. I did a "Google" search and found this site. Rob and I dated during his trips to Atlanta in late 1999 & early 2000. We vaguely knew each other back in high school in O.C. and lost touch until 1999, after being reintroduced by mutual people. We talked frequently on the telephone and enjoyed each other's company during his visits to Atlanta. He spoke with the greatest affection and love for his daughter, brother and parents. We often would just cook dinner together and spend the evening talking, watching movies. Mostly our talks revolved around our children, he longed to provide a stable home for his daughter. Rob encouraged me often to visit him in Jacksonville after the interviews in Atlanta fell through. Unfortunately, I never did. We lost touch again after I moved west in 2000, although I thought about Rob often during the past few years. I am genuinely shocked and heartbroken to hear of the passing of such a warm and loving man, who touched my heart. |
